The Corporate Affairs Lead is responsible for supporting the GBU Corporate Affairs Business Partner with the development and implementation of government affairs and/or communications programmes to deliver our GBU priorities in UK & Ireland. This could include:
Positively disrupting the external policy environment to improve patient access to medicines and support future innovation.Growing our profile externally to help us to achieve our ambition of being the leading immunology company by 2030.Achieving market access for our pipeline products.Supporting the growth of our priority brands through impactful disease awareness campaigns and product communication.Communicating an overarching One Sanofi narrative and mindset that enhances our reputation externally and inspires our people internally. Driving the implementation of Integrated Patient Engagement in UKIE.Main responsibilities:
Develop and deliver Government Affairs and Communications programmes to support our key GBU priorities
Work in partnership with the GBU Corporate Affairs Business Partner and the GBU Brand Leads to develop and deliver Government Affairs and Communications programmes to support priority brands and late-stage pipeline assets. This could include: Disrupting the external environment to help the UK to achieve its ambition of being a life sciences superpower that gives patients timely access to innovative medicines, incentivises UK investment for Life Sciences companies and supports appropriate pricing and reimbursement of innovations, including indication-based products. Supporting the development of a One Sanofi messaging that supports our ambition to be the leading immunology company by 2030. Increasing disease awareness of priority brands and supporting timely communication of product related news and key milestones. Supporting the implementation of the Global Integrated Patient Engagement initiative in UKIE to ensure that patient engagement is at the heart of all of our activities. Maintain a detailed stakeholder map of national decision makers and influencers, including parliamentarians, civil servants, ministers, patient organisations, media and pressure groups (aligned with the corporate One Sanofi stakeholder map). Maintain a network of contacts to support our priority brands (aligned with the broader OneSanofi plan) to achieve key policy change, support access to innovations and enhance disease awareness. Manage relationships with agencies retained by the team, ensuring timely delivery to a high standard, compliance with agreed KPIs and to budget. About you Significant corporate affairs experience, preferably in a communications/public affairs agency or a healthcare company.Good knowledge of the political, policy and media landscape across the UK. Experience of supporting the market access of innovations into the UK. Experience of running advocacy campaigns in the UK and achieving policy change. Experience in developing and implementing effective, high-profile and measurable corporate and/or product communications strategies that cross all channels (earned, social, shared, owned, paid), ideally in a healthcare setting. Strong strategic, oral and written communication skills with the ability to foster clear information exchanges with various audiences. Understanding of how to develop and execute innovative, measurable corporate affairs programmes. An ability to influence and bring about change at a senior level externally and internally.
