Responsibilities As the Corporate Benefits Director for Canyon Ranch, you will be the key driver for all benefit-related decisions and programs for the company. In this role, you will direct the development and administration of the company’s colleague benefits programs, including 401(k), health and welfare plans and related programs. You will also facilitate the coordination of all benefits programs to support and align with business objectives and strategy. Lastly, you'll provide guidance and support to the property Benefits Specialists to ensure benefits programs and products are communicated and delivered to colleagues with accuracy and integrity to achieve the best possible perception of our total compensation offerings. Essential functions and duties include: Communication: Manages and directs communication regarding benefits plans/policies to ensure the greatest return and to educate the colleague population about both the content and the value of the programs being provided. Ensures all Canyon Ranch branded benefit programs are executed appropriately and reflect on-brand image and content. Competitive Marketplace: Conducts an annual review of the benefit programs to ensure competitiveness with the market. Manages the plan renewal and annual enrollment process. Maintains a continuous awareness of new products, methodologies, partners, and concepts and recommends improvements to ensure our benefits programs remain relevant to colleagues and their families. Compliance: Remains abreast of changes related to any benefits related topic in all states we have employment nexus to ensure compliance with federal and state legal requirements and prepares and files required reports. Prepares, distributes and maintains SOPs, SPDs, annual statements and other plan documents in a timely manner. Financial Accountability: Recommends appropriate levels of annual benefits premiums based on costs, funding and organizational philosophy. Seeks out ways to increase benefit offerings while maintaining costs for both the organization and the colleague. Partnerships: Manages audits and plan discrimination testing. Acts as liaison between the company and providers and administrators. Leads regular efforts to scrutinize existing partners and advisors to ensure we remain aware of industry trends and new products. Assesses new content and opportunities and brings those that are recommended for consideration to the attention of the Human Resources leadership team, Senior VP of Finance, and other internal stakeholders. Strategy: Influences return of people investment through benefit strategies that achieve the desired behavioral and performance outcomes Qualifications WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL The ideal candidate will have: 6-10 years’ experience leading Benefits function with an organization. A complete understanding of Benefit related practices and procedures, state and federal labor laws. Possess strong business acumen, emotional intelligence, team mentoring, collaboration, critical analysis, decision-making and leadership skills. In addition, a demonstrated ability to drive operational partnerships and influence key business partners to align HR strategy with business outcomes is necessary. A Bachelor's degree is required and employee benefits specialist certification preferred.
