GENERAL FUNCTION

The Business Analyst provides analysis, data reporting, and financial/budget/sales modeling for EssilorLuxottica Wholesale internal business units. Works with Excel/Business Objects to create business tools and views that make trends and decisions more apparent. The Business Analyst provides recommendations/analysis/recaps to sales management and department leaders on the business implications of data findings and reporting. The Business Analyst, assisted by the direct supervisor, also supports the development of comprehensive business analysis for the multiple channels of trade; evaluating shipment, retail sell through, financial data and other critical data to identify trends and assess opportunities within the market and with critical customers.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develops reporting for the different channels and provides recommendations for sales strategy and summarizes/recaps business performance for executives and sales management. Delivers data analysis to account managers and senior management, weekly, monthly, by brand and channel to evaluate performance trends (by customer, Account Manager, etc.) and for purposes of planning and sell-in, that positively influence business decisions both short and long term. Works closely with management team to prepare for business meetings with account teams, customers and senior management. Influences the development of tools to improve efficiencies that limit manual data manipulation. Proposes, executes and analyzes sales territory realignments. Contributes to the development of materials for sales meetings. Compiles and analyzes budget, sales and selling expense information. Develops and delivers data analysis to senior management, product, marketing and demand planning teams weekly, monthly, seasonally by product category. Contributes to the development of seasonal recaps that identify successes and missed opportunities to influence sales strategies and drive future brand and assortment planning. Develops marketplace analytics and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and grow Luxottica USA business.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in economics, statistics, finance, any science or a related field 2+ years of experience in a similar role involving business or sales or marketing analysis Demonstrated experience working with multiple data sources Strong analytical skills Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate user needs into reporting solutions; understands relevant business area issues and implications Ability to successfully collaborate with internal and external customers in a partnership to achieve goals Advanced Excel & Power Point skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in the use of Business Objects and/or Tableau

​Pay Range: 64,439.20  - 94,992.80 

 

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package.
