Corporate Business Development Representative

Position Overview:

Under the direction of the Partnerships & Corporate Business Development Manager, the Corporate Business Development Representative focuses on new business growth in the business & industry sector (corporate sector) for Treo Wellness. This role is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities for Treo Wellness by researching potential markets, developing relationships with key decision-makers, and initiating outreach through activities like networking events, online prospecting, tradeshows, and other activities to seek out and present to potential customers. While focused on new business growth, this position is tasked with creating long-term value for Treo Wellness through strong relationships and client retention. 


This position will work collaboratively with the Account Manager to ensure successful new account implementation, regular reporting and meetings, as well as year-end satisfaction touchpoints. Primary function of this position is new client prospecting, broker prospecting, Treo Wellness demonstration presentations, follow ups, proposal writing, and attending quarterly account review meetings for active clients. This role works closely with graphic design, account management, business development, and the General Manager. 


Responsibilities:


Sales Related Activities:

· Meet monthly and annual employee wellness account presentation and acquisition targets 

· Meet monthly and annual broker presentation and acquisition targets

· Cultivate and nurture relationships with multiple health benefit brokers

· Follow-up on active leads from the Treo B2B newsletter, tradeshows, and other outreach events

· Develop an outreach plan with the Marketing Manager based on types of interactions with our monthly B2B newsletter

· Be available to assist brokers, dealers, and fitness sales team as the subject matter expert for new customer opportunities

· Maintain relationships with Showcase Accounts for mutual promotional opportunities


Tradeshow Related Activities: 

· Attend periodic industry trade shows in both employee wellness and health clubs

· Immediately audit tradeshow and other leads and follow-up results after tradeshows and events 

· Identify the most cost-effective tradeshows for educational services and work with marketing to optimize our trade show budget for maximizing our return on investment


Optimize the Employer and Employee Experience with Treo:

· Communicate the critical role of senior company management for the success of employee wellness

· Set accurate and realistic expectations with accounts as to what success looks like for a voluntary employee wellness program 

· Work closely with our hybrid coach/account managers to ensure flawless launches and maximize employee engagement

· Assist our hybrid coach/account managers in preparing and delivering regular report outs

· Bring learnings from report outs back to the General Manager for possible continuous improvement opportunities 


Marginal Job Functions:

· Follow all related procedures & policies

· Assist as required with our other distribution channels – club & Y, retail sales

· Other projects as assigned

Requirements


Education:

· Bachelor's degree in relevant field 

· Corporate Wellness Certifications preferred

· MBA or equivalent preferred


Experience:

· 3-5+ years of successful sales within a B2B environment, particularly in selling health and wellness programs to organizations.

· Working knowledge of both the health benefits and employee wellness fields

· Understanding health trends, wellness program components like nutrition, fitness, stress management, and their impact on employee wellbeing. 

· Ability to effectively articulate the benefits of employee wellness while developing customer relationships

· Basic understanding of how to measure the impact of wellness programs and analyze data

· Knowledge of pricing and positioning of competitor wellness services to maximize presentation conversions

· Experience with lead-follow-ups and customer acquisition


Other Requirements:

· A passion for bringing healthier lifestyles to a larger population

· Capable of preparing RFP’s and related proposals for prospective accounts

· Capable of delivering compelling presentations of proposals

· Driver’s license requires an acceptable motor vehicle record for extensive domestic travel for customer visits, trade shows, sales meetings, etc.

· Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, CRM, Salesforce, email marketing software systems
