Job Summary:
The Corporate Capture Manager - BDIS Manager plays a pivotal role in driving growth by applying industry best practices and Westat- developed processes to target, pursue, and win new business. Requires close coordination and collaboration with practice staff who lead pursuits and corporate proposal staff who coordinate development and submission of technical and business proposals.
This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement (1 day per week onsite, flexible hours). Remote work arrangements will also be considered. Westat's headquarters is currently in Rockville, Maryland but will be relocating to Bethesda, Maryland in the fall of 2025.
Job Responsibilities:
Performs a range of capture management tasks on key Westat bids that will result in the delivery of high quality, compliant, and client responsive proposals. Examples of tasks to be performed on individual proposals include:
Basic Qualifications:Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in business or a related field and a minimum of 10 years of experience or equivalent years of relevant experience in lieu of degree, and a minimum of 8+ years of experience with a professional services or research firm that manages federal contracts and grants.Demonstrated experience working with MS Office, with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint.Preferred Qualifications:MBA or other advanced degreePMP certification and/or Shipley trained in capture and proposal management.Experience with industry research tools, such as GovWin, Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS), and Bloomberg Government (Bgov)
