The Corporate Communications team department is responsible for shaping and maintaining the company’s public image, managing media relations, and crafting messaging for both internal and external audiences. This team ensures that the company’s innovations, product launches, corporate initiatives, and thought leadership are effectively communicated to stakeholders, including customers, investors, media, and employees.
Interns will gain hands-on experience in PR and corporate communications while working on real-world projects that impact the company’s reputation and brand presence. The role requires strong writing skills, attention to detail, creativity, and a keen interest in the intersection of technology and media.
Key Projects & Assignments for a Summer Intern include:
Media Research & Monitoring - Tracking press coverage and compiling media reports. - Researching journalists and publications for potential media outreach.
Content Creation & Messaging - Writing blog posts, social media content, and press materials. - Assisting in drafting executive speeches, email newsletters, and internal memos.
Social Media Management - Creating and scheduling posts for platforms like LinkedIn
Event Coordination - Assisting with logistics for product launches, webinars, and industry conferences. - Supporting media briefings and preparing speaker notes.
Crisis & Reputation Management - Monitoring public sentiment and flagging potential PR risks. - Contributing to strategies for addressing negative press or customer concerns.
Market & Competitor Research - Analyzing competitor PR strategies and identifying industry trends. - Researching thought leadership opportunities for executives.
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications and Preferred Qualifications:
Academic Major Preferred (Undergrad and Masters) Communications, PR, marketing, Journalism
Open to Undergrads (BA) currently in their junior or senior year
Familiarity with traditional media and social media; basic skills in writing blog posts, press releases, newsletters, and website content.
Ability to track media coverage, sentiment analysis, and compile reports; understanding of Performance Metrics
Drafting press releases, media pitches, and briefing documents; basic understanding of reputation management and interest in learning new strategies; assisting in writing speeches, scripts, and key messaging for executives.
Use of collaboration tools; assisting in Event Planning & Coordination
Understanding of tech industry and trends; Researching competitors' PR strategies and identifying industry best practices.
