**O** **UC – The** **_Reliable_** **One** , an industry leader and the second-largest municipal utility in Florida, is offering an internship program in the OU.DIVISION.
We are looking for a **Corporate Communications Intern - Summer 2025** . During the internship,you will contribute to strategic communications initiatives that reach OUC employees, customers, the local community, and media. As a Corporate Communications intern, you will develop and create engaging written and visual content for both internal and external communication channels.
Responsibilities Include:
+ Interview, research, and write for blog posts, newsletters, emails, talking points, and more
+ Create engaging content for OUC’s social media channels; research and report on the latest social media trends relevant to OUC
+ Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas to enhance communication initiatives
+ Support monitoring and analysis of communications campaigns to evaluate effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement
+ Review and edit communications materials for clarity, accuracy, and consistency, ensuring adherence to corporate guidelines and messaging
+ Collaborate with the Communications team to support day-to-day priorities, including media monitoring and analysis
+ Support media engagement activities and events
**Internship Eligibility:**
+ Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university in a degree seeking program.Academic status of Junior or Senior
+ Program of study: Communications, journalism, social media, crisis communications, English
+ Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
+ Authorized to work in the United States
+ Ability to commit to a full-time schedule between **May 19, 2025** through **August 15, 2025**
**The Ideal Candidate will have:**
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
+ Familiarity with current social media platforms to develop engaging content
+ Proficiency in grammar and punctuation; working knowledge of Associated Press style
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
**Nice to Haves:**
+ Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or similar graphic design platform such as Canva
+ Experience with videography and/or photography focused on social media
+ Interest in public affairs and communications within the utility sector

**Compensation** : $13.75-$17.50 per hour, varies depending the education level
**Schedule** : Full-Time (up to 40 hours per week) – Hybrid
