ONxpress Transportation Partners has been selected by Infrastructure Ontario and Metrolinx to lead the charge in modernizing rail service across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Areas with the On-Corridor Works project. You are someone who:

Translates business strategies into key messages, develops appropriate internal communications initiatives in support of those strategies, and executes programs that create excitement, drive engagement, align teams and shape culture. Leads the planning, development and execution of internal communication plans, strategies and tactics that effectively communicate the organization’s strategic goals. Ensures consistent messaging, maintain alignment, continuity and clarity in all communications to keep employees well-informed. Serves as the central point of contact to manage and enhance outgoing communications to internal audiences. Measures, monitors, evaluates and reports on the effectiveness of internal communication strategies and tactics and make recommendations for continuous improvement. Ensures communication messaging and materials are high quality, accurate, appropriate and integrated with organization’s priorities and themes. Assists in the development and dissemination of executive messages across various platforms. Supports the development of speeches, presentations, interviews, etc. Supports Human Resources and Talent Acquisition teams in communicating the employer brand message effectively and accurately. Advises on messaging and creative expression for career fairs, recruiting events, for job boards, networking, and more. Content creation for internal communications tools, including, but not limited to, newsletters, intranet, videos, photography, events, scripts, announcements and surveys. Builds and executes a social media strategy, create engaging content and analyzes social data while working closely with Communications leads across the project consortium. Supports content creation for client communications initiatives, including, but not limited to articles, blogs, social media, photo captions and websites as required. Supports the planning and organization of internal events such as Town Halls, Milestone Celebrations, Conferences or Employee Events. Designs or edits visual content for various platforms. Special assignments as required. Requirement to work beyond Monday to Friday and be available for crisis management or critical public meetings on an as-needed basis.

You bring:

Degree or post-secondary training in Communications, Public Relations or similar related field. Minimum 5 years managing projects (independently or as part of team of leaders) in relevant work scope (corporate communications, public relations, content creation, employee communications, change management, organizational culture, etc.). Infrastructure, transportation or construction industry experience is considered an asset. Experience with graphic design, photoshop, photography or videography (at any level) is considered an asset, please include portfolio with application. Experience with SharePoint is considered an asset. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in small and large groups. Direct experience and knowledge of internal communications best practices, strategy and techniques. Experience in successfully implementing internal communications in complex organizations with multiple stakeholders. Proven ability to execute communications plans with the ability to think strategically while delivering tactical results. Possess outstanding oral and written communications skills including superior writing, grammar, editing, proofreading and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to think analytically and develop solutions that meet the business needs of the company. Highly motivated, persuasive, priority-driven and collaborative. Strong team player with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with partners and staff at all levels. Ability to learn new technology and platforms quickly. Highly computer literate with capability in of the Microsoft Office suite of products (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and related business and communication tools.

This position is with ONxpress Civils (“CJV” aka the Design & Construction team); the project segment responsible for the modernization and modification of the key area network, including countless innovations in the way the regional rail infrastructure is built.
