Volt is immediately hiring a Corporate Controls Engineer in Garland, TX. Relocation assistance is available! This is a nicotine free facility.

As a Corporate Controls Engineer, you will be part of the Corporate Controls Engineering Department. You will work on controls and automation projects to install new manufacturing systems and upgrade existing manufacturing systems in all of our client's manufacturing facilities. You will provide on-site support for controls and automation activities at the manufacturing facility.

The Corporate Controls Engineer will report directly to the Corporate Controls Engineering Manager.

Within this role, you will:

\r\n\r\nDevelop/Install/Commission Plant Controls and Automation Systems, including PLC Programming, HMI Development, and MES Data Collection.\r\nProvide Controls and Automation Systems Technical Support, utilizing the Daisy Brand HELP Desk System.\r\nDesign and Specification of Plant Control System Architecture, including Control Panels, Hardware, and Communication Protocols.\r\nDevelop/Enforce process controls standards.\r\nProvide partnership and direction of 3rd Party Controls Engineering partners.\r\n\r\n

This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

\r\n\r\nBachelor's degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited college/university; industry experience will be considered in the absence of a degree.\r\nMinimum of 5 years working within a Controls and Automation Engineering role in the food and beverage, Consumer Goods, or similar industry.\r\nAdvanced Ladder Logic Programming within Allen Bradley PLCs (ControlLogix).\r\nAdvanced HMI Development is required, preferably within Wonderware (Aveva) Archestra System Platform.\r\nUnderstanding of Object-Oriented Programming Principles.\r\nFamiliarity with Design/Specification of Process Control Panels.\r\nExperience in food and beverage, or similar industry with high sanitary standard utilizing CIP cleaning and sterilization.\r\nExperience with Wonderware MES, or a similar MES platform.\r\nExperience with .NET programming environment.\r\nExperience with SQL databases.\r\nExperience with Ethernet/IP communication within a plant control system.\r\nExcellent formal and informal communication skills and a professional attitude.\r\nStrong computer skills (MS Office).\r\nAbility to travel, up to 25%.\r\n\r\n

Salary Range: $110,000 - $135,000 per year

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
