ABOUT THIS ROLE Audible (a division of Amazon Entertainment) is seeking a talented Corporate Counsel to join our legal team supporting the Audible service in Brazil and other LATAM countries. You will support multiple aspects of the business, providing day-to-day legal input on business and strategy, serving as primary legal support on a variety of agreements, and ensuring regulatory compliance. You will develop strategies for handling legal issues in creative, business-centric ways. This position is based at our Newark, NJ campus – 20 minutes from Manhattan, with some work-from-home flexibility. As a Corporate Counsel, LATAM, you will... - Provide ongoing legal counsel across a wide range of areas, including digital media, product, marketing, privacy, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance - Draft and negotiate strategic agreements, including content, marketing, business development, and other commercial agreements - Help to create and deliver legal trainings and self-service reference guides for the business ABOUT AUDIBLE Audible is the leading producer and provider of audio storytelling. Basic Qualifications - Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent - 5+ years of experience practicing law Preferred Qualifications - Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese - Prior experience supporting one or more LATAM territories - A mix of transactional, content licensing, product counseling, marketing, privacy, and consumer protection experience - Some in-house experience - Incisive business as well as legal instincts - Ability to work independently while also contributing successfully to cross-functional teams - Proven organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once, and commitment to follow through and meet deadlines Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
