This position is responsible for handling complex legal matters and projects in all facets of gategroup business in the United States.Annual Hiring Range/Hourly Rate:
$160,000 -$165,000 Per Year This position is eligible for incentive pay of 20% of the base salary.Benefits

Draft and negotiate all legal agreements entered by or on behalf of gategroup, including customer and vendor agreements.
Provides strategic counsel in all phases of strategic transactions, including mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures. Draft and negotiate agreements related to the same.
Respond to and defend gategroup entities before administrative and regulatory agencies.
Provides legal advice related to labor and employment matters on a routine basis, including hiring, termination, labor negotiations, labor contract analysis, grievance procedures and litigation.
Assists in conducting legal audits of operations to identify best practices and ensures compliance with laws.
Develops and assists with development and implementation of policies and procedures as directed by the Division General Counsel.
Advises business leaders and operational staff on optimal compliance practices and most appropriate mechanisms to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
Participates in special projects as assigned by the Division General Counsel.
Drafts legal memoranda and analysis of matters, as requested by General Counsel.
Qualifications
Education:
Law degree required.
Work Experience:
5-7 years post-graduate professional experience in a large law firm or corporate setting.
Technical Skills: (Certification, Licenses and Registration)
Virginia State Bar license or equivalent.
Job Skills:
Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas (as needed by the business): contracts, employment, litigation, compliance, taxation, M&A.
Ability to evaluate matters which may have a major bearing on the conduct of the organization’s business.
Must have outstanding attention to detail
Ability to handle multiple tasks without losing focus on priorities
Strong PC skills including MS Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint required
Excellent time management skills required
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, solve problems, make recommendations, and draw valid conclusions in a timely and accurate manner.
Language / Communication Skills:
Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form
Must be able to communicate effectively with external customers and all levels of management.
