Corporate Counsel
Under general supervision of Associate General Counsel, this position will identify and mitigate business and legal risks. Duties include handling transactional, litigation and employment matters and any other matters that arise for advice from the Legal Department. **ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** + Draft, review and negotiate various contracts including vendor, consulting, leases, construction, marketing, advertising, IT, NDAs, etc. + Assist with all aspects of litigation, including managing discovery. + Advise on matters of employment law, including managing employment disputes, demand letters, agency proceedings and subpoenas. + Support streamlining and improving legal workflow processes (Ironclad and Legal Tracker knowledge, a plus). + Provide legal support in connection regulatory matters, including FAA regulations. + Other projects as assigned by the Chief Legal Officer or other supervising attorneys to provide legal support as necessary for the organization. **TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)** + Be a team player and display excellent interpersonal skills. + Self-starter with motivation to self-teach. + Manage multiple priorities and demands successfully in a fast-paced environment. + Effectively communicate orally and in writing. + Exercise excellent judgment and work ethic. + Familiarity with ITAR and EAR, a plus. + Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. **EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE** + Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school required. + Minimum 5 years related law firm and/or corporate in-house experience. + Member of the State Bar of California or ability to satisfy In-house Registered Counsel requirements. The annual U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $115,295.00–$175,824.00. The base pay actually offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location, and experience and take into account internal equity. Other forms of pay (e.g., bonus or long term incentive) may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
