Job SummaryOur Legal Department is looking for a talented and dynamic individual with initiative and drive who can handle a high volume of varied and complex legal work and is passionate about their work. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, hungry to learn, highly organized, detail oriented, responsive, and can work independently as well as part of a dynamic team. This is a terrific opportunity for a junior to mid-level associate who desires an in-house role with a focus on transactional legal work, although there will be many opportunities to step outside commercial matters. The Corporate Counsel will report directly to the General Counsel.
Qualifications Quickly gain an understanding of Lightpath’s business, services and internal systems. Demonstrated ability to proactively manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to prioritize workload based on value of business to Lightpath while working to meet deadlines. Perform well under pressure under tight deadlines with attention to details. Effectively communicate with all stakeholders. Strong business acumen and capability to develop creative solutions to difficult legal challenges. Build and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and stakeholders. Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to provide sound, clear legal advice to stakeholders in a sales-driven environment. Excellent verbal/written communication skills and efficient work habits. Proficient computer skills and experience with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Salesforce, etc.Requirements:
Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school with high academic credentials. This position is identified as being performed in/or reporting to company operations in New York State. The pay range at the time of posting in the specified locations is $110,000- $130,000/year. Pay ranges are supplied in compliance with New York State law. Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience.
