**Summary**
The Chenega Corporation and its family of companies (“Chenega”) operate in all 50 states and over 20 countries. With over $1B in annual revenue and 8,000+ employees, Chenega is the largest Alaska Native Village Corporation and was the 4 th largest Alaska owned company in 2024.
The Chenega legal team provides critical legal guidance on a wide range of business matters, including dispute resolution (litigation, demands, EEOC claims, investigations, and other disputes), regulatory compliance, commercial contracts, and more. Corporate Counsel works directly with the Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel to drive strategic initiatives and help safeguard Chenega’s interests.
This position is in-person based in Anchorage, Alaska.
**Responsibilities**
+ Assist with litigation, claims, and disputes.
+ Work with outside counsel to manage claims and develop settlement strategy.
+ Assist with internal investigations and provide internal legal support for external investigations.
+ Strategize with senior leadership on dispute resolution.
+ Identify risks and propose alternative solutions to mitigate risk.
+ Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other agreements.
+ Other duties as assigned
**Qualifications**
+ Law degree from an accredited law school and minimum of 3 years legal experience.
+ Experience in any of the following areas is a plus: civil litigation; employment law; Small Business Administration 8(a) program; government contracting.
+ Must be a member in good standing of the Alaska Bar Association, or a member in good standing of another states’ bar association and become a member of the Alaska Bar within the first year of employment.
+ Ability to analyze information and identify the relevant factual and legal issues.
+ Ability to communicate effectively orally, including the ability to make oral presentations.
+ Ability to write clear, concise, accurate, and complete legal documents and reports.
+ Knowledge of and ability to apply fact-finding and investigative methods, techniques, and procedures.
**Estimated Salary/Wage**
USD $145,000.00/Yr. Up to USD $175,000.00/Yr.
