Corporate Counsel
Overview As Corporate Counsel for the company, you will report to our General Counsel, and your primary responsibilities will be the review and negotiation of vendor contracts, otherwise assisting in the vendor procurement process, and overseeing certain litigation matters. This is a visible role in a fast-paced, professional and collaborative organization. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling a high volume of matters, often of a time-sensitive nature. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Negotiating contracts with the Company’s vendors and subcontractors and otherwise assisting in the procurement process. Serve as the primary legal advisor to the Company’s operations and customer care teams on issues related to the Company’s warranty program and overseeing the handling and resolution of disputes related to the warranty program. Serve as the primary legal advisor to the Company’s sales teams and overseeing the handling and resolution of disputes arising during the sales process. Collaborate with other members of the legal team, as well as the Company’s other departments, on special projects overseen by the General Counsel. Education & Experience J.D. and U.S. state bar admission Minimum of 2-5 years of legal experience with a law firm Skills & Abilities Excellent organizational skills, detailed-oriented and able to complete projects and other assignments efficiently, timely and with minimum supervision Superior written and verbal communication skills and analytical skills enabling timely and practical identification and communication of legal issues and risks Exceptional interpersonal skills and able to interact with a wide range of stakeholders Practical, proactive and results-oriented Physical Requirements Typical office environment.
