Job Details:
The Law Department of Tyson Foods is seeking an experienced contracts attorney to join its legal team. As a Corporate Counsel in the Transactional Services group at Tyson Foods, you will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various types of contracts, including vendor agreements, IT/SaaS agreements, and sponsorship agreements. You will also be responsible for providing legal advice to internal stakeholders on a variety of related matters. This role is primarily focused on supporting Tyson’s shared services such as Procurement and IT.
Responsibilities:
Draft, review, and negotiate various types of contracts, including vendor agreements, IT/SaaS agreements, and licensing agreements.
Advise internal stakeholders on legal risks, rights, and obligations related to contracts and other legal matters.
Manage and prioritize workload to meet deadlines and business needs.
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure contracts accurately reflect business requirements.
Assist with the development and maintenance of contract templates and standard clauses.
Support other legal initiatives as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Law degree from an accredited law school and a license to practice law in at least one jurisdiction.
Experience: 4+ years of experience in contract drafting and negotiation at a reputable law firm or in a corporate legal environment.
Skills:
Strong analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills.
In-depth knowledge of contract law and familiarity with applicable laws and regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Travel: Minimal travel is expected for this role.
