JOB SUMMARY
This corporate development role is at the cross-section of finance and strategy, encompassing both mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and integration work with a heavy focus on post-acquisition project management and analysis. The Corporate Development Analyst will play a key role in PIP’s growth strategy by performing critical analyses and leading strategic initiatives to help drive value creation. Primary activities will include integration work, project management, financial analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to enable synergies and growth for the business. YOU ARE
A good project manager – you have developed an ability to support projects related to M&A initiatives and you are detail oriented. You can understand the big picture of the business and how to drive value.
Analytical and love working with data – when you analyze data, you can distill key trends across functional areas (i.e. finance, commercial, operations, etc.) You analyze market trends and competitive dynamics that can help inform growth strategy. You can synthesize large, complex data and present findings in a clear, concise manner. Working regularly with Excel and PowerPoint is within your comfort zone.
Accustomed to metrics and reporting – you establish a working rhythm when preparing detailed reports outlining key findings, risks, opportunities and can effectively communicate to an executive leadership team. Tracking company metrics will be measured against key strategic, financial and operational milestones and manage project timelines.
Looking to expand your M&A experience – you will be supporting the due diligence process for new M&A deals, conduct business and financial analyses on potential targets and coordinate data requests while communicating with third-party advisors.
A good and effective communicator – working collaboratively with PIP and OIP key stakeholders as well as communicating effectively with exceptional verbal and written communications skills will be essential. You will need to have proven experience in preparing presentations and possess the ability to engage in thoughtful and influential dialogue with senior stakeholders. You thrive in a collaborative team environment, and you are focused on shared success.
REQUIRED SKILLS FOR SUCCESS
+ Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data and present findings in a clear, concise manner
+ A bachelor’s degree in business, finance or relevant major from a respected business school is required
+ Experience in data analytics with strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
+ Ability to think critically about a business, develop meaningful analyses and identify key trends
+ Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, with a proactive approach to challenges
+ Strong communicator with exceptional written and verbal communication skills; experience in preparing presentations and ability to engage in thoughtful and influential dialogue with senior stakeholders
+ Highly organized with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
+ Team player with a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and initiative
+ Results-driven with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a global team
+ Exposure to M&A transactions or financial modeling is a plus
+ An MBA is a plus, but NOT required
