Corporate Development Analyst

OVERVIEW We are seeking a highly motivated and analytically adept Strategy & Corporate Development Analyst to join our team. As a Strategy & Corporate Development Analyst, you will play a vital role in shaping ASR Group's strategic initiatives and corporate growth opportunities. You will work closely with the executive leadership and cross-functional teams to identify, evaluate, and execute strategic projects that drive long-term value for the company. DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES + Strategy Development: Collaborate with senior management to contribute to the development and refinement of ASR Group's overall corporate strategy. Conduct in-depth market research, competitive analysis, and industry assessments to identify growth opportunities, potential partnerships, and areas for diversification + Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A): Support the M&A process from target identification to deal execution. Conduct due diligence on potential acquisitions, including financial analysis, risk assessments, and synergy analysis. Prepare detailed business cases, financial models, and investment proposals to evaluate the strategic fit and potential ROI of investment opportunities + Business Analysis: Analyze and assess the performance of ASR Group's current business units and operational processes. Identify areas for improvement and efficiency gains, providing data-driven insights and recommendations to optimize business performance + Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, consumer behavior, and regulatory developments impacting the sugar and sweetener industry. Identify potential risks and opportunities to inform strategic decision-making + Competitive Intelligence: Keep abreast of competitor activities and industry best practices to understand competitive positioning and implications for ASR Group's strategy + Strategic Projects: Participate in special projects focused on enhancing operational excellence, entering new markets, or implementing process improvements. Support the development and execution of strategic initiatives across the organization + Financial Analysis: Perform financial modeling and scenario analysis to support strategic planning and decision-making. Work with finance teams to create business forecasts and assess the financial viability of strategic projects + Presentations & Reports: Create clear and concise presentations and reports that communicate complex data and analysis to various stakeholders, including senior management and the Board of Directors + Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, Sales & Marketing, and Legal, to ensure seamless coordination and successful execution of strategic initiatives + Other: Other duties to be performed, as needed WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS + Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Management, or relevant discipline from a top-tier university + 1-3 years of experience in strategic finance, corporate finance, FP&A, corporate development, investment banking, management consulting, or similar roles desirable + Experience with SAP, or other ERP systems desirable + Entrepreneurial drive, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment + Detail-oriented with a strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously + Familiarity with M&A processes, including due diligence and post-merger integration + Demonstrated ability creating adaptable, user-friendly, and logical operating & financial models + Strong analytical, quantitative, research, and problem-solving skills + High level of intelligence, aptitude, and self-motivation + A positive demeanor and courteous value-add team player + Excellent business writing skills + Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Preference for experience/proficiency in advanced analytical tools (e.g., Minitab, Tableau, Anaplan, Power BI) and capacity to learn new data applications + Willingness and ability to travel throughout domestic and international locations LOCATION OF ROLE + Yonkers, NY + Travel required (likely 10%-15% of time) SALARY PAY RANGE: $67,000 - 124,000 The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.
