Job DescriptionAs the Corporate Director of Accounting for a retail, apparel, and distribution company, you will oversee all accounting functions, ensure compliance with sales and use tax regulations, manage lease accounting, and support the financial aspects of acquisitions. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial reporting and implementing efficient accounting processes. You will lead the accounting team and work closely with senior leadership to provide financial insights that align with the company’s strategic objectives, especially within a dynamic retail and distribution environment involving multi-location operations and currency management. Responsibilities:Accounting operations oversight Financial reporting and analysis Sales & Use Tax ComplianceAcquisitions involvementLeadership and Team Development Qualifications and Requirements:BS in Accounting or Finance, or related fieldBachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, ideally within the retail, apparel sector, or distribution.Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS, lease accounting, and sales and use tax regulations.Proven experience managing multi-state tax compliance, lease accounting, and financial aspects of acquisitions.Familiarity with foreign currency transactions and international accounting considerations.Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills.Excellent leadership, communication, and team management abilities.Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic retail environment.  Benefits and Perks:Industry competitive salary based on your experience/qualificationsHealth, Vision, and Dental Insurance401(k) planPTOYour New Organization:Focusing on many industries this organization partners with employers to streamline very specific safety gear making compliance with OSHA standards easier for companies and employees.
