Overview The Corporate Director of Distribution is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the distribution strategies for Pyramid Global Hospitality’s extensive portfolio of hotels and resorts. The individual will lead the development, execution, and management of comprehensive distribution plans that drive occupancy, maximize revenue, and ensure efficient use of distribution channels. This role will focus on managing online travel agencies (OTAs), brand.com, global distribution systems (GDS), and other third-party platforms to maintain the company's competitive edge in the market. Key Responsibilities: Distribution Strategy: Develop and implement multi-channel distribution strategies across all properties to ensure optimal performance and revenue maximization. Manage and optimize relationships with OTAs, GDS, and other third-party platforms, ensuring the most favorable terms and partnerships. Collaborate with the revenue management and marketing teams to align distribution strategies with broader revenue and marketing goals. Channel Management: Evaluate the performance of existing distribution channels and identify opportunities for improvement and innovation. Monitor and maintain rate parity across all channels, ensuring pricing and availability accuracy. Analyze competitor distribution strategies and adjust plans accordingly to maintain competitive advantage. Technology & Tools: Oversee the implementation and integration of distribution technology platforms, including central reservations systems (CRS), channel managers, and booking engines. Stay informed of technological advancements and trends in hospitality distribution and recommend improvements or changes to systems. Work with property teams to ensure the proper use of distribution technologies and platforms. Data Analysis & Reporting: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) across distribution channels, providing regular reporting and actionable insights to senior leadership. Leverage data and analytics to assess channel profitability, identify trends, and recommend changes to improve performance. Analyze and report on booking patterns, guest behavior, and channel costs to optimize distribution strategies. Team Leadership & Collaboration: Lead and develop a high-performing distribution team, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure continuous improvement and success. Collaborate with property general managers, directors of sales, and revenue managers to ensure alignment on distribution goals and performance metrics. Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including technology vendors, third-party partners, and franchise brand teams. Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure compliance with all legal and brand requirements related to distribution and rate management. Develop and implement best practices for distribution management across the portfolio to maintain high standards and operational efficiency. Stay informed of industry regulations and changes that could impact distribution and advise the leadership team accordingly. Qualifications Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in hotel, revenue management, or related field within the hospitality industry especially with independent/leisure-oriented properties Proven track record of success in optimizing multi-channel distribution strategies across a large portfolio of properties. Experience with OTA, GDS, and third-party channel management.
