As the Corporate Events Manager you will oversee the full lifecycle of James Hardie's marquee events, from initial strategy development through to successful delivery. In this role you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of several key events, ensuring they are aligned with the company’s strategic objectives and brand positioning. You will handle all aspects of event execution with the support of an Events Specialist, ensuring flawless planning, organization, and communication throughout the process. A high level of organizational ability, strategic thinking, and effective communication are essential for your success in this role.

 

What You’ll Do: 

 

 

Execution of the PGA TOUR Champions event from a title sponsorship perspective, management of James Hardie’s sponsorship and presence at the annual International Builders Show, high-profile corporate Habitat for Humanity partnership events across North America, and other JH-sponsored events as they arise. Ensures alignment and buy-in from key stakeholders is achieved early on Provides steady stream of communication throughout the event planning process with key stakeholders and leadership team members Establishes and oversees full event budget Establishes and oversees event planning timeline Directs in-house or external graphic designers, photographers, and other media-production specialists integral to the completion of event. Brings new ideas and out-of-the-box concepts to event Has keen focus on connecting with target audiences including homeowner, trades or the public.  Keeps manager, senior leaders and key stakeholders informed along the event planning process, while operating autonomously, with support where needed.

What You’ll Bring: 

 

 

Bachelor’s degree required in Marketing or Business preferred or related similar field Must have 10 years large scale event management experience   Project management/Event Management skills

Client-side experience a plus, but event management and production experience agency-side will be considered

Establishes and manages event production plan Oversees and manages event budget Establishes, manages and communicates event timeline Strong written communicator Strong verbal communicator Ability to clearly articulate vision to multiple stakeholders internally and externally Ability to hold others accountable to delivering results including but not limited to external partners working to deliver events Ability to multi-task and reprioritize as needed Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure Ability to represent company with professionalism and poise Documents processes.  Excellent record keeper.  Ability to build playbook for future events.  Desire to take full ownership of assigned projects and can work independently Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build collaborative relationships
