Corporate HSET Advisor

The Role

The Corporate HSET Advisor is a key member of the Health, Safety, Environment, and Training (HSET) team responsible for providing expert guidance and support in promoting a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace across the entire organisation.

The Corporate HSET Advisor will assist with the ongoing and day-to-day provision of HSEQT support, advice, training, mentoring, reporting functions and systems maintenance for SRG Global operations and assist the HSE Operations Manager with the development, roll-out and maintenance of the organisation's HSE management system, plans and specific programs.

This role will be based within our Head Officer in Subiaco, however, will require regular travel to drive safety across our SRG Global project sites.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop strong relationships across all levels of the business to effectively influence and implement the SRG Global safety standards and culture of zero harm. Assist with the development of key safety activities at an operational level. Assist with the preparation of reports, alerts and other safety documentation at an operational level. Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the SRG Global HSE system requirements including induction and training, hazard and risk identification, hazard and risk control, incident reporting, incident analysis, monitoring and reviewing and other actions directed by the HSE Operations Manager. Undertake reviews of event reports and assist operations in determining causes and actions to prevent recurrences. Assist in the maintenance and review of risk registers for all operational locations. Advise and direct operational personnel on HSE regulations and compliance issues. Assist operational personnel with workplace and site inspections. Conduct fitness for work (FFW) testing, ergonomic, and function job assessments as required. Provide guidance and support as required for the development and review of team-based risk assessments. Communicate HSE notifications related to issues as and when they arise; through toolbox meetings, safety committee meetings and memorandums. Assist HSE Representatives and coordinate HSE Committee activities. Assist operational management with action outcomes from internal and external audits. Undertake, where required, event investigations, on-the-job injuries, and other HSE related concerns to determine the cause, contributing factors, and corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

The successful applicant will ideally have:

Previous HSET operational experience and willingness to progress within a corporate support position. Certificate IV in WHS (minimum) Formal incident investigation qualification (ICAM) (Desirable) Experience in high-risk environments Excellent communication and people skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. Strong computer and systems skills and knowledge (Myosh experience is desirable)
