As an Intern at Ferrellgas, you will have the opportunity to work with one of the largest propane retailers in the United States. Our Finance Internship is open to college students going into their senior year of college, or graduate students. This role is a 60-day remote internship that will provide a background into the propane industry and Finance field for Ferrellgas and Blue Rhino to help launch a successful Finance career. During this internship, you may work on various projects involving the annual budget process, new project implementation, financial modeling and cash forecasting, and other process improvement. The internship will start in June 2024.
Responsibilities Gains an understanding of all aspects of the business, with a focus on Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis, and General FinanceInstills and upholds a customer service culture within the company that fosters retention, relationships, and loyalty; and positions the company for increased growth opportunitiesPartners with key mentors throughout the program Assists managers and staff with projects as assignedCollaborates with managers, supervisors, and other senior staffPresentations to executive leadership about projectsFollows all company regulations and health and safety codesLearns about conflict resolution and how to address various situations Qualifications Must be enrolled currently enrolled in college level studies (as an incoming senior of graduate student) in Finance, Accounting, or a related fieldPrevious work experience in Finance or AccountingFinancial Modeling/Analysis experience is preferredExcellent communication skills: written and oralStrong leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skillsA positive attitude and willingness to learnProficiency in MS OfficeAttention to detailTime management skillsMust be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United StatesApplicants must not now, or any time in the future, require sponsorship for an employment visa
