This role sits within the front office and will be working on a dynamic and busy trading floor.

As an Associate/ Vice President within the Cash Trading Team you will have the opportunity to work closely with senior traders. Together, we will manage risk, pricing liquidity solutions for clients and support all aspects of the trading desk. This includes pre-trade analysis, inbound and outbound trade requests, the design of optimal risk management for large trades and daily P&L reporting.

This role will allow you to provide clients accurate pricing and market colour, while proactively managing risk on behalf of the firm. Together. we will build, own and maintain internal and external relationships. 

Job Responsibilities: 

Supporting day to day client requests and needs Understanding market drivers and cross-asset implications Independently resolving P&L reconciliation issues Ensuring all relevant partners (vertically, horizontally, internal and external) are kept abreast of key developments Cultivating an appreciation of the balance between revenue generation and building a client franchise Cultivating relationships and establishing a high degree of competence with clients around pricing and executing trades Developing trading strategies and ideas to facilitate inventory management  Understanding the firm's approach and policies for managing risks as well as the applicable legal and regulatory rules Proactively working with internal teams to innovative revenue generation and operational systems. Assisting with the post trade process by ensuring the accuracy of all entries and that internal controls are followed

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

Minimum 3 years’ experience working within an investment bank or asset manager Ability to discuss in detail your understanding of how to book trades and the implications of improper trade booking on P&L Ability to discuss in detail your understanding of  fundamental and technical aspects of product(s) traded and support area functions of respective products Demonstrable proficiency with market and product lingo. Well versed in the quantitative nature and framework of own product (e.g., pricing, models, etc). Ability to discuss in detail your knowledge of the direct costs of "doing business" along the transaction lifecycle; Understands the different types of risk and can discuss in detail ways of managing these risk. Thoroughly understands drivers of relevant markets and can explain and anticipate market movements. Ability to thrive on the challenge of competitive pressures and remain focused on client needs Ability to communicate concepts and ideas, both verbally and via documentation, and be able to defend their validity and target messages to different audiences. Ability to interact comfortably with business clients and management.  Strong proficiency in Bloomberg, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint & Python
