Corporate Legal Assistant
Description We are seeking a Corporate Legal Assistant to support our Real Estate Client in Concord, CA. This role will involve a variety of administrative tasks in the legal and corporate sphere, including document preparation, correspondence management, transaction management, and office management. Responsibilities: • Accurately drafting, proofreading, and filing various legal documents such as purchase agreements, lease amendments, and financing documents related to real estate transactions. • Handling scheduling responsibilities, including managing calendars, setting up appointments, and coordinating meetings. • Communicating effectively with clients in person, over the phone, and through email, while screening and directing phone calls and emails as necessary. • Managing correspondence, responding to clients, and preparing letters. • Overseeing transaction management by creating and maintaining transaction files, as well as tracking the satisfaction of escrow requirements, contingencies, and closing dates. • Maintaining corporate books and records for investment entities like limited liability companies, corporations, and limited partnerships, and keeping entity filings up-to-date. • Performing office management duties such as transcribing daily timesheets, making photocopies, faxing, scanning, drafting client billing statements, managing collections, and overseeing the general functioning of the office. • Utilizing Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS), Case Management Software, CompuLaw, and other tools for efficient and effective operations. • Ensuring excellent client relations and maintaining effective communication. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Corporate Legal Assistant or in a related role. • Proficient in Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, and CompuLaw. • Experience with the Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS). • Knowledge of various Case Management Software. • Ability to perform Billing Functions efficiently. • Strong skills in Calendar Management and Claim Administration. • Proven track record in Client Relations. • Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal.
