The UPMC Corporate Legal department is committed to developing and mentoring future attorneys of diverse backgrounds and talents by providing a unique legal expertise in the areas of healthcare and corporate law through first-hand immersion into the operation of the UPMC system, collaboration with UPMC Corporate Legal Department staff, and the development of professional skills and competencies.
We’re hiring Student Interns for Summer 2025 within our Corporate Legal Department. **This is a paid internship at the standard rate of $20/HR.** UPMC's legal department provides a fantastic venue for a law student to obtain relevant legal experience, particularly in various aspects of health law and corporate practice, as well as with other legal issues presented to the legal department of an extensive health care system.
Student Interns are responsible for assisting attorneys with projects including research, writing, drafting agreements, organizing information, and participating in creation/delivery of presentations. We are looking for students who have completed their first year of law school prior to joining the team in Summer 2025.
To be considered for a position, please submit a resume, writing sample, undergraduate transcript and copy of first semester law school grades with your submission. If you do not have all upfront, please add the outstanding items upon receipt.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Current enrollment in Law School
+ Students who have completed their first year of law school and will be starting their second year after June 2025.
+ This will be a paid position at the standard rate of $20/HR.
+ The candidate will have a working knowledge of the Microsoft system.
+ Related experience to the program/study/research is preferred.
+ Candidate should have an interest in field of study.
+ The successful candidate must be able to work within a team environment under direct supervision.
+ The candidate must possess the ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff.
+ The candidate must be able to perform routine tasks under the guidance of senior staff.
+ Enrolled in Law School
+ The candidate must be a rising 2L (having completed the first year of law school by June 2025)
