Job Description:At Regions, the Corporate Loan Perfection Specialist is responsible for perfecting commercial and corporate loans. The primary function is to protect the Bank’s collateral interest and ensure we are following the Bank’s policy, state regulations, compliance, and/or third-party vendors.
Primary Responsibilities
Reviews all perfection documentation completed at closing
Ensures collateral is completed via iWAVE Workflow and tangible documents per the Bank’s policy, state regulations, compliance, and/or third-party vendors
Completes a detail document review of perfection documents via iWAVE Workflow and tangible original for perfection purposes
Performs extensive research of exceptions issued that impact perfecting collateral
Works with loan officers, closing agents and field personnel to determine what documents are needed to secure the loan to close the exception
Utilizes all vendors and government agency websites to track documents to determine why the collateral has not been recorded and filed
Responds to emails, phone calls and voice mails from branches, loan officers, paralenders and third-party vendors
Provides clear and concise written communication on missing or incorrect document exceptions
This position requires the tracking of time for hours worked in excess of 40 per week and is eligible for overtime under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
Skills and Competencies
Knowledgeable of loan operations activities
Works under limited to moderate supervision
Ten (10) key skills
Basic knowledge of loan documentation
Knowledge of AFS/LIII, ACAPS/ACLS, CCNET, VRC, Dealertrack and Diligenz preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Detail oriented
Ability to work in a deadline oriented environment

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
