Corporate - Marketing and Communications Intern (Hybrid in Bellevue WA or Alameda, CA)

The Marketing and Communications Intern will gain experience in building internal/external relationships with our communities, agency and partners. The intern will also gain experience in professional writing and graphic design/photography. This position reports directly to the Director of Branding and Communications. The primary responsibility of the Marketing and Communications Intern is to support the promotion of organization programs and ongoing communications with team members, clients, residents and key stakeholders. Our Communications and Marketing Intern:


Works closely with Director of Branding and Communications and Communications Specialist to develop content for websites, social media, newsletters, internal communications, and marketing materials.  Assists in developing the design, content, and production of collateral marketing and advocacy materials that support the mission of Transforming Age.  Develops and write copy for media and collateral materials for organizational communications activities, including press releases, media pitches, internal communications, press statements, blogs, social media posts, media kits, etc. Uses client stories from the network to develop articles that will be used in stakeholder newsletters and organization’s website. Works with company vendors to improve and develop company swag site Writes press releases for events and announcements. Conduct interviews to be used in marketing materials. Researches and reports based on initiatives that are ongoin Supports the marketing and communications staff in creating collateral pieces. Assists with special events including planning and execution of the event. Assists with any photography needs. Updates social media sites including Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram.  Performs other duties as assigned. 

What you need to succeed: 

 

High School diploma required. Pursuing undergraduate education in Marketing and Communications preferred Ability to work in our HQ1 (Bellevue, WA) or HQ3 (Alameda, CA) office on occasion each week.  Organized, self-motivated, professional.·        Able to prioritize and balance concurrent/competing projects, tasks, or assignments. Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint Open to learning and receiving feedback.
