Corporate Mergers and Acquisition (M&A) Internship
Description

Corteva Agriscience is seeking motivated graduate candidates eager to gain hands-on experience within a dynamic corporate Mergers and Acquisitions function. As an Intern, you will be an integral part of the M&A team and work closely with global Strategy, Finance and Business teams to support the execution of meaningful in-organic growth transactions. Through the summer internship, the candidate will gain in-depth exposure to the Agriculture Industry and how Corteva plays an industry leading role in delivering innovative solutions to farmers worldwide.

What You’ll Gain:

As a full team member, assist in the evaluation and execution of transactions, including supporting M&A leads with project management across various M&A transactions (acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, venture investing) where applicable.

Assist in managing active project due-diligence processes. Support financial analysis, including preparation of business plans, synergy analysis and valuation models. Assist the M&A team to develop and implement modelling and valuation templates based on best practices (using select corporate and investment bank models as benchmarks)

Work in and manage global cross-functional teams across various business segments.

Support with internal approval processes, including preparation of deliverable documents / approval presentations to key stakeholders including – business leaders, executive management and Board; support interface with business leadership on the transaction where relevant.

Support communication with prospective buyers / sellers, investment bankers and other parties, including supporting review of transaction agreements.

Monitor, track and consolidate M&A activities for various stakeholders to support required education and governance for the Strategy and Finance leadership teams.

· Support the team in developing and updating key information databases required to support M&A transactions and implement best practices.

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring:

Currently enrolled as a graduate student pursuing an MBA or a related degree. Candidates must be enrolled in classes the semester following their internship with Corteva.

Ability to relocate to Indianapolis, IN for the duration of the internship.

Availability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for 10-12 weeks during the timeframe of internship (typically May to August).

Experience with project management, data collection and consolidation.

Strong analytical and quantitative skills; Proficiency in assessing and summarizing financial models and highlighting key drivers, variances or gaps.

Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques; ability to develop and create presentations.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently, as required; Travel as required to support transaction execution.

Leadership experience preferred (ex: leading clubs, teams, etc.)

Prior transaction experience in investment banking, consulting or related fields is a plus.
