Corporate Mortgage Finance Operations Manager
Description Summary: The CMF Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational functions and providing outstanding service for Mortgage Servicing Assets (MSA) and mortgage warehouse lines while ensuring compliance with the Policies and Procedures of Huntington’s Corporate Mortgage Finance Group (CMFG). Duties and Responsibilities: + Execution: + Develop and implement warehouse lending and MSA operational policies and procedures + Maintain warehouse lending program and loan level guidelines + Leverage technology to create scalable solutions with proper level of controls and oversight/reporting + Ensures seamless operational execution. Ensure transactions are completed accurately and within SLA’s. + Review and approve transaction exception requests within authority assigned by manager and in accordance HNB policy + Identify, review and analyzes issues and problems, and resolves discrepancies in a timely manner, escalating when appropriate for situation + Vendor Management: Manage 3rd party vendor relationships for the CMF group ensuring operational excellence in addition to meeting all bank vendor management requirements. + Onboarding: Facilitate client onboarding in conjunction with Commercial Services, Commercial Operations and in the warehouse system + Oversight: Manages CMF vendor relationships and performance of internal and external operations servicing CMF accounts. Responsible for ensuring acceptable levels of quality and service consistent with Bank and CMF policies, procedures, and guidelines as evidenced by satisfactory loan reviews and audits of work performed. + Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, management, internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication, collaboration and problem solving. Build and maintain strong partnerships with internal colleagues, industry resources, peers, and stakeholders. Collaborate effectively with stakeholders and leaders across multiple teams to achieve objectives + Reporting and Compliance: Prepare and present portfolio reports highlighting operational performance of clients, and compliance with internal policies. Additionally, prepare ad hoc portfolio reporting as needed. + Team Development: Expected to lead, motivate, and manage the team members to higher levels of performance through proactive coaching, mentoring, feedback, and goal setting, including: + Develop effective business development and staffing strategies. + Hire qualified and competent team members. + Proactively manage the performance of under-performing staff. + Develop, communicate, and support personal and career development plans for entire staff and develop succession plans for each role. + Provide performance objectives and feedback to team members on a consistent basis. + Appropriately recognizing and rewarding behaviors and results that support the goals and objectives of the business unit and the bank. + Properly rewarding team members financially through the approved incentive system, matching compensation with performance results. + Performs other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications: + Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant experience + 10 or more years of relevant senior level mortgage operations management experience Preferred Qualifications: + Proficient written and verbal communication skills + Operations management experience ideally within the mortgage warehouse finance industry or other specialty finance areas + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams + Strong leadership abilities and the ability to drive change and influence others + Proven ability to lead operational teams Exempt Status: (Yes = not eligible for overtime pay) (No = eligible for overtime pay) Yes Workplace Type: Office Our Approach to Office Workplace Type Certain positions outside our branch network may be eligible for a flexible work arrangement.
