DUTIES\n
In addition to providing corporate paralegal and administrative support for the company's Legal and Risk Management Department, responsibilities will include but may not be limited to the following:\n\nDrafting routine correspondence, processing of invoices and preparation of check requests, preparation of expense reports, coordinating meetings and assisting with scheduling, taking meeting minutes and action items, and performing basic follow-up tasks;\nLegal and corporate records maintenance and organization;\nLicensing and regulatory filings and compliance including federal, state, local, government contractor and professional registrations and licensing for the corporation and all subsidiaries;\nU.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) applications, reporting, and compliance including 8(a), Joint Venture, Mentor-Prot\u00e9g\u00e9 and HUBZone applications and annual reporting; \nSupport of the corporation's Property & Casualty insurance program including the handling of requests for certificates of insurance and bonding requests, preparation of insurance and renewal applications, processing of invoices as well as other routine insurance requests;\nSupport of corporate governance activities including maintaining and filing corporate records, annual reports and business licensing, and drafting resolutions;\nNew corporate entity formations in various states including creating and filing organic documents and registrations related to new corporate entity formations and management and tracking of all entity annual reporting requirements;\nPreparation and submission of all System for Award Management (SAM) registrations and updates required for the corporation and all subsidiaries;\nAssisting with contract review and the completion of customer\/vendor forms, applications, and questionnaires;\nConducting basic legal research;\nWorking with other members of the legal team on special projects and initiatives; and\nOther duties as assigned.\n\n
EDUCATION\/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS\n\nBachelor's degree in a related area is preferred; however, experience may be substituted for education.\nRequires 4-7 years' experience in the field or related experience. \nA paralegal certificate is preferred.\nPreferred experience working with or for a government contractor preferably one with 8(a) status. \nPrevious experience using System for Award Management (SAM) preferred.\nPrevious experience with automated records management and SharePoint preferred. \nCandidate must have experience with MS Word (including significant experience in formatting and editing) and intermediate-level MS Excel skills.\nStrong written, organizational and oral communication skills.\nAbility to work with little or no supervision, through own initiative. \nDetail oriented and accurate.\nWe maintain a drug-free workplace and perform post offer, pre-employment substance abuse testing.\n\n
