Responsibilities:Incorporate and organize Alberta and Federal corporations, societies, and not-for-profit companies.Assist lawyers with amalgamations, arrangements, reorganizations, and amendments.Registration of limited partnerships, domestic and extra-provincial.Registration of, and preparing and filing amendments for Limited Partnerships and Limited Liability PartnershipsPreparation of various corporate and tax resolutions and supporting documentsPreparation of dividend resolutions.Minute book review.Entering entities in a corporate database and document management system.Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.A high level of accuracy and strong attention to detail.Qualifications:Minimum of 5+ years’ experience as a corporate paralegal, completion of a paralegal diploma or certificate is an assetExperience in all aspects of corporate work requiredAlberta CORES II or III accreditation is requiredExperience with ALF, and APPRES accreditation preferredAccuracy and attention to detail.Ability to prioritize and coordinate activities in a timely manner.Familiarity with a corporate database is such as ALF is an asset.Dedicated to continued process improvement.Advanced computer skills with PDF, MS Word and document managing systems
