Job Title: Corporate Project & Design Engineer
Job Description:
Are you passionate about engineering and looking to make a significant impact in a dynamic environment? Join our team as a Capital Project Engineer and lead the execution of critical capital projects from start to finish. You'll be responsible for equipment selection, justification, CapEx processing, purchasing, installation, and start-up support efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Capital Project Execution: Oversee the entire lifecycle of capital projects, including equipment selection, justification, CapEx processing, purchasing, installation, and start-up support.Engineering Design Leadership: Develop and manage engineering design specifications and Techno-Economic Models, including process design, P&ID, mass and energy balances, equipment sizing, and financial analyses (CapEx, OpEX, NPV).Engineering Work Process Support: Provide strategic direction and support to enhance and streamline the engineering work process.Project Management: Manage projects from conceptual design through successful startup, ensuring budget, timeline, and deliverables meet established success criteria.Design and Implementation: Recommend and implement manufacturing systems designed for machine, human interaction, method/process, raw material, and environmental variability. Incorporate Lean principles to improve reliability, ease of use, maintenance, and minimize production losses.Construction Management: Manage contractors, technicians, skilled trades, and internal resources to safely install and start up manufacturing systems. Collaborate with plant operational teams on training, standard operating procedures, and spare parts identification.Regulatory Compliance: Apply Process Safety Management (PSM) regulations, building codes, and NFPA fire codes to capital projects and design specifications.Collaboration: Interface frequently with corporate staff, plant staff, operators, and maintenance personnel across a 2-shift operation.External Resource Management: Manage external engineering firm resources on large capital projects.Skills and Qualifications:
Technical Skills: Experience in regulated environments, process safety management, CapEx, AutoCAD 2D, high-speed filling, batch making, conveyors, fillers, and packaging equipment.BS in Chemical Engineering preferred. Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Packaging, and Electrical Engineers with hands-on related experience will also be considered.Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a plant engineering support role with hands-on experience in engineering, process design, continuous improvement, troubleshooting equipment, project management, and project start-up verification.Soft Skills: Strong organizational, interpersonal, and technical communication skills. Ability to lead and thrive in fast-paced, multitasking environments.Travel: Willingness to travel frequently (33%) to support capital project assignments.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $155000.00 - $180000.00/yr.
