The Corporate Reliability Manager is responsible for optimizing equipment reliability through diagnosis and enhancements, which will lead to a reduction of maintenance costs in support of all Carmeuse Lime & Stone North America (CLS) locations. The Corporate Reliability Manager will be responsible for leading Carmeuse’s reliability program to enhance the effectiveness of the maintenance organization through development and implementation of various reliability strategies and techniques. The Corporate Reliability Manager is a key element that supports the plants’ operations. One of his main objectives is to implement long term solutions that will help to reduce maintenance costs and increase the reliability of the equipment.
Responsibilities include:
Analyzing equipment performance, failure data, and corrective maintenance history to develop and deploy engineering solutions, improved maintenance strategies, preventative maintenance optimization, and other reliability techniques Conducting analyses and investigations to determine relative reliability with regard to such factors as cost, structure, weight, maintainability, facility of production, availability of materials and equipment, and determines the ability of the product to comply with customer and contractual requirements Develop the analysis methods for establishing reliability of company products and their components, prepares sketches, charts, drawings or reports for further developments Improving plant equipment by implementing a program of advanced maintenance methodology including predictive and preventive maintenance techniques, and failure analysis to recommend operational, maintenance, and process changes so as to maximize equipment reliability, availability and life expectancy Support plant maintenance and reliability groups in developing and implementing local programs to drive site reliability and cost management Providing training and coaching in Root Cause and Reliability Analysis and taking ownership for ongoing corrective action tracking, implementation, and follow up to ensure that all Root Cause analysis projects are documented Partnering with appropriate suppliers and customer technical resources to document best practices Providing leadership in conducting or arranging for the training of maintenance tasks, techniques, technologies, and concepts for maintenance technicians and support staff Recommending and evaluate process & equipment improvements. Interface with equipment and systems vendors, including expediting documentation. Identify, Implement and Support Digital Initiatives that will improve the Reliability and Maintainability of equipment. Provide leadership to the organization in the implementation of maintenance system, tools and practices. Develop and maintain a set of maintenance standards to be used as a guide by the plants. Support the Carmeuse Safety program and initiatives. Support the Carmeuse Sustainability program and initiatives.
Basic Requirements:
Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering 5-10 years of related experience in progressively more responsible positions in a manufacturing environment; Demonstrated competency in preventative, predictive, basic care practices, and computerized maintenance management systems Strong management and Total Productive Maintenance experience; Six Sigma training or a Reliability certification such as CMRP or CRL is a plus Demonstrable team work and maturity with a strong work ethic Fluency in spoken and written English Ability to travel up to 50% within North America
Required Knowledge:
Expert knowledge of reliability principles (ie. RCA, FMEA/ FMECA, TPM, RCM, etc.) Extensive knowledge of continuous manufacturing and production process Possesses resource management skills; Knowledge and experience working contemporary concepts of continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing
Required Skills:
Demonstrates competency in preventative, predictive, basic care practices, and computerized maintenance management systems Strong verbal and written communication skills (English language); Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external customers both verbally and in writing; Ability to work closely with plant managers, staff members, supervisors, team leaders, hourly associates, contractors, and federal/state regulators Demonstrates respect for conflicting points of view, listens to others, and builds strong working relationships Demonstrates appropriate negotiating tactics and is able to negotiate win/win agreements without compromising principles Strong computer skills in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Internet skills Experience using a CMMS such as SAP or Maximo. Ability to safely negotiate in and around heavy industrial equipment and construction sites; Ability to understand and effectively communicate using engineering drawings and sketches; Strong quantitative problem solving, decision-making and time management skills; Demonstrates the ability to work in multicultural teams;Benefits & Compensation Package Includes:
