The Corporate Safety Manager - Area Lead position focuses on supporting POWER's safety strategy guided by the Corporate Safety Director (CSD), regulatory compliance, internal policy, industry best practices, and client requirements. The successful candidate will lead the areas of policy and procedure, internal/external audits, third-party consortiums, office safety management, etc., and collaborate with field safety management to promote a proactive safety culture, zero harm mindset, and exceed regulatory/client/industry best practices requirements. The successful candidate should demonstrate the following:
Mindset to approach safety duties with a balanced respect for regulatory compliance and business needs Strong understanding, proficiency, and passion for occupational health & safety Ability to gain the trust of staff & management and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization Collaborative workstyle that has a demonstrated consensus-building approach Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent time management, organization/prioritization, attention to detail, accuracy, project management, and work ethic Roles and Responsibilities Manage the Corporate Safety Administrators, including delegating day-to-day assignments, approving/assigning training and/or continuing education, conducting bi-annual performance reviews, approving timesheets and expense reports, etc Policy and procedure development COR certification compliance, auditing, and reviews ISO certification compliance, auditing, and reviews Compile reports, training records, and data management OSHA recordkeeping and recordability determination Receive and carry out safety directives from the Corporate Safety Director Required Education/Experience 7+ years of direct safety work experience, 2+ years of leadership experience Bachelor’s degree or higher in Occupational Safety, or related field preferred Safety credential (i.e., CSP, ASP, OSHT, etc.) a plus Understanding of ISNetworld and/or other third-party verification services Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, SmartSheet, ProjectWise, Oracle, or other applications is a plus Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel)At POWER Engineers, you can have a rewarding career on every level.
