Allied Universal® is hiring a Corporate Security Specialist. The Corporate Security Specialist provides physical security coverage at assigned corporate office locations to ensure protection of client employees, visitors, property, and equipment. The Corporate Security Specialist provides a professional interaction for the employees and guests of high-profile client(s).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Watch for irregularities, such as security breaches, facility and safety hazards, and emergency situationsContact Shift Supervisor, Site Supervisor, or Security Manager immediately in the event of an incident or emergencyRemain alert for the presence of unauthorized persons and/or security policy violators; approaches suspicious person and/or notifies police as appropriatePatrol assigned areas to ensure personnel, building, and equipment securityPrepare routine, standardized reportsProvides escorts as necessaryMay provide specialized security in complex operational areas, requiring specific knowledge of the operating environmentPerform periodic checks of fire extinguishers, AEDs, and lights (and any other assigned equipment) to ensure proper functioning; reports all malfunctions as requiredQUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):
High school diploma or equivalentLicensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employmentMinimum one (1) year of contract or proprietary security experienceMinimum of three (3) years of educational, professional, or volunteer experience in customer service or direct public interactionExcellent customer service skillsIntermediate computer navigation skillsGood problem solving and observational skillsSkilled in attention to detailProficient in-person, phone, and hand-held radio communication skillsAbility to comprehend numerous policies, procedures, concepts and to be able to respond using discretion and interpretive judgment based on general and specific policiesAbility to retain knowledge, information, and directions on an ongoing basis and communicate effectively with othersAptitude to communicate effectively in English (orally and written)PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):
