Position Summary: Seeking a Construction Accounting Manager to learn all aspects of the accounting function at Tecta, as well as Tecta’s policies and procedures in order to train and correct accounting staff throughout the country. Oversees (and assists as needed) Operating Unit accounting and finance staff and provides guidance and direction. Assists Operating Unit Presidents with financial and project analysis as needed. Provides the corporate office with related information required by them to carry out their assigned responsibilities. Trains new employees in accounting procedures and the ERP. Job Functions:Is seen as a business partner and resource for the Regional Controllers, to train and guide the accounting and operational staff Assists with M&A due diligence and initial training of new acquisitionsEvaluate the performance of accounting and finance personnel within the region and recommend training and changes as neededTrain on the in-house payroll process Ensures Tecta’s delegation of authority and corporate policies are adhered toProvides corporate office with audit, tax, insurance, and other information as neededEnsures credit and collection procedures are followed, and monitors collections and paymentsAssumes other special activities and responsibilities from time to time as directedAssists the corporate accounting staff with daily duties and projects from time to timeExpected 50%+ travel to outside locations, home office in Rosemont, IllinoisProvide support and training to end-users across different departmentsConduct classroom and individual training sessionsProvide ongoing support to address User queries and issuesCollaborate with the IT team to align training with evolving system updatesDiagnose and resolve ERP system issuesAssist in ERP integration when needed Knowledge, Skills & Experience : B.S. or B.A. in accounting10+ years of progressive experience in construction accounting with experience in percentage completion project and/or job cost accounting environmentExperience in a multi-company/multi- location environmentUnderstanding of in-house payroll and tax filingExceptional MS Excel skillsStrong Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning softwareAbility to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with all levels of the organizationExceptional interpersonal skills Salary $130k-$140K + Bonus Tecta offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, paid holidays, etc.
