Who we're looking for:We're looking for a Corporate Strategy & Development Manager to join our Corporate Strategy & Development team. This role will help shape and execute growth strategies for Rover through the Rover platform, M&A, and strategic partnerships. The ideal candidate will have expertise in industry analysis, a proven track record in delivering actionable insights, and a strategic mindset to drive complex initiatives.
This is a high-visibility role that will report to Rover’s Senior Manager of Corporate Strategy & Development and collaborate closely with Rover’s executive leadership team to evaluate and operationalize opportunities.Your Responsibilities:Lead analysis of pet industry trends, providing insights to inform Rover’s strategiesDevelop a deep understanding of new pet verticals and a point of view on organic and inorganic growth opportunitiesHelp to identify, evaluate, and build strategies for potential strategic partnerships and M&AOwn research initiatives, including designing and synthesizing insights from surveys and expert or customer interviews and identifying and analyzing market data sourcesCreate detailed business cases through financial modeling and impact analysis to inform recommendations to the executive teamDrive cross-functional collaboration with product, engineering, and marketing teams to execute partnerships and strategic initiatives effectivelyDevelop and deliver executive-level presentations to communicate recommendationsYour Qualifications:3-5 years of experience in a highly analytical role, such as management consulting, corporate strategy or development, venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or related fieldExtensive experience in market and primary researchAdvanced quantitative skills, including financial analysis and scenario planningExcellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to convey and communicate complex concepts to senior leadership Strong project management and prioritization skills, with a track record of driving initiatives to a successful outcomeNice to Have:Experience in technology sector or a high-growth environmentA passion for pets and familiarity with the pet care industryBenefits of Working at Rover.com Competitive compensation401kFlexible PTOCompetitive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insuranceCommuter benefitsBring your dog to work (and unlimited puppy time)Doggy benefits, including $1000 toward adopting your first dogStocked fridges, coffee, soda, and lots of treats (for humans and dogs) and free catered lunches semi-monthly Regular team activities performed in-person and virtuallyCompensation: In the greater Seattle area the first-year salary range is $99,719-$128,513.
