Corporate Tax Manager

Job Summary:

The Corporate Tax Manager is responsible for working with various entities, including partnerships, S corporations, limited liability companies, and trusts in a single- Family Office embedded within an operating business, has excellent hands-on detail skills, is competent, and committed to long-term career.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in related field required, Master’s Degree in Taxation a plus Active licensed CPA required Tax Experience, 5+ years required in the following: client emphasis on privately owned companies strong corporate and flow-through entity background actively manage large client compliance engagements High Net Worth/Private Client Tax Services experience required Family Office tax experience preferred

Strong Project Management skills and knowledge of PM software

Proficiency with MS Office products, advanced Excel skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish working relationships with multiple departments and various levels of the organization

The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences

Self-starter with the ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness

Exceptional business acumen attention to detail and accuracy

Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills, deadline-oriented

Strong tax research and analytical skills 

Ability to handle large amounts of data and high volume of transactions

Essential Functions:

Assists with management of tax compliance for Family and operating entities as well as liaising with appropriate Third Parties.  Provide support to Director of Tax on various tax consulting projects Collaborates with others to manage tax compliance projects to achieve accurate and efficient results Provides support to the Director of Tax with the following- tax filings consisting of federal partnerships, s corporations and trusts as well as applicable state returns (prepared by third party vendor) financial review and work paper preparation for tax returns.  Ability to manipulate financial information for tax purposes, such as M-1 prep, JE prep, etc. maintaining/modeling quarterly and yearly projections for various family members, company executive and family members, and various taxable entities assisting third-party tax advisors and legal counsel as well as company executives on specific tax issues and questions as deemed necessary, assists with any federal and state tax examinations and audit defense Maintains knowledge of general economic and political trends of possible tax or other legislation that could affect the business climate Assumes responsibility for the smooth flow of tax information to ensure accurate, complete, and timely preparation and delivery of all entity and individual tax returns Performs technical tax reviews of certain tax returns, which are prepared by Third Party Prepares other reports and works on projects as requested from time to time by Family, Company, or Third Parties Works safely always and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission Performs other duties as assigned
