Provide for care of horses and maintains corral in a neat, orderly fashion.  Assists guest on trail rides and assure their safety.  Give pony rides to young guests.  You are expected to adhere to the company’s mission, vision and value statements. Be knowledgeable of the company’s management systems, policies and initiatives for Hospitality, Environmental, and Health and Safety.  You have specific responsibilities within these areas and are expected to understand them.

Starting Wage:  $18.25 / hour Skill Level: Entry, Intermediate

 

The Corral Wrangler responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Guide trail rides and provide information about the Park to guests 

Speak professionally and be able to properly report and handle accidents on radios if necessary 

General care and well-being for livestock 

Maintain and repair corrals as needed 

Give pony rides 

Complete daily chores such as saddling, grooming, cleaning tack, etc. 

Perform other duties as requested 

Other duties as assigned 

 

The “must haves” for this position include:

Prior experience in riding and care of horses Valid US Driver's License Successful completion of MVR Current First Aid & CPR Certification Strong verbal English skills Must be able to lift at least 100 pounds

 

We prefer that you additionally have the following skills / experience, but it is not required: 

Previous experience guiding trail rides Interpretive knowledge of Grand Teton National Park and/or Yellowstone National Park

The expected pay range is $18.25. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
