Corrugate Manufacturing Production Supervisor

Job Summary: As the front-line team leader, the manufacturing Production Supervisor interfaces with senior plant leadership and is responsible for safety training, accident investigation, managing work schedules, counseling, and coaching employees to exceed team goals and corrective action to address problems. Responsible for the manufacturing processes and exceeding department goals through strong leadership and direction.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Must have experience in corrugated or packaging industries (prefer at least 3 years of experience) Must have supervisory or leadership skills (prefer at least a combination 3 years) Familiar with basic computer applications and the ability to learn additional business-related systems. Comfortable training and mentoring employees on converting equipment. Knowledge of packaging-specific platforms is a plus Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, motivate and direct employees. Capable of managing and measuring work for continuous improvement. High school diploma or bachelors degree preferred

Key Accountabilities:

Lead department in meeting and exceeding productivity and quality standards Maintain a safe and organized work environment Promote a success-driven culture of caring and pride across the department and the plant Manage employee performance, including regular monitoring and feedback, coaching, and disciplinary action Assist in new hire orientation and training, including cross-training within the department Plan work effectively and coordinate with other departments to minimize downtime and waste Communicate with maintenance department to facilitate safe and efficient operation of all equipment Participate in meetings and initiatives on a plant level Manage employee timecards, time off requests, and other payroll-related items Submit timely and thorough reports relative to department and plant activities
