Corrugated Machine Operator
**Job Title: Machine Operator** **Job Description** As a Machine Operator, you will work on Flexo, Folder, and Gluer lines. You will assist operators with changeovers, setups, and startups of machinery, load and unload machinery with materials, follow work orders to set up customer orders and specifications, stack orders and palletize, wrap finished orders into bundles, and stage finished cardboard for shipping. You will also manually load and unload machines, use measurement devices for accuracy, and bundle cardboard into stacks according to customer orders. The machinery is automated and fast-paced, requiring familiarity with machinery and speed. **Responsibilities** + Assist operators with changeovers, setups, and startups of machinery. + Load and unload machinery with materials. + Follow work orders to set up customer orders and specifications. + Stack orders and palletize. + Wrap finished orders into bundles. + Stage finished cardboard for shipping. + Manually load and unload machinery. + Use measurement devices for accuracy. + Bundle cardboard into stacks according to customer orders. + Load boxes onto the line. **Essential Skills** + Machine Operating Experience. + Experience with setups, changeovers, and startups. + Ability to adjust machinery (speed, size, weights). + Experience with corrugated/cartoning/packaging materials. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Manufacturing experience. + Experience with corrugated/cartoning materials. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy a very laid-back work environment and culture that focuses on quality over everything else. You will work with 2-3 other people but will operate independently once trained. The dress code includes jeans or work pants and shirts, and you will need steel toe boots. Safety glasses are provided. The shifts available are 2nd shift (2pm-10pm) and 3rd shift (10pm-6am, Sunday to Thursday), with training on the 1st shift (6am-2pm). **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
