Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Incoming Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the approval and release of incoming materials, managing material retains, and ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP). This role requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in both lab and production environments.
ResponsibilitiesPerform, approve, and release incoming materials.Issue and apply release stickers on approved raw materials and bulk products, documenting necessary information accurately and completely in a timely manner.Manage material retains.Review supplier Certificates of Analysis (COA) and follow up with suppliers if COA is missing.Prepare and submit samples to a third-party laboratory and follow up on results.Maintain awareness of cGMP, GLP, good housekeeping, and safety in the laboratory.Communicate any discrepancies and Out of Specifications (OOS) with the Director of Quality, assist and/or issue OOS investigations, deviations, and non-conformance material reports (NCMR) per established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).Conduct testing of materials using FT-IR, pH meter, pycnometer, and viscometer.Verify equipment cleaning per SOP.Maintain label room including issuance of labels for production use.Maintain records of temperature and humidity charts in Label Room, Pre-weigh, and Warehouse areas.Sample DI water and submit to a third-party laboratory.Maintain records/documentation such as COA and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) in accordance with internal procedures.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsMinimum of 1 year of experience in quality.Experience in the cosmetic, pharmaceutical, or medical device industry is preferred.Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.Quality Control/Assurance knowledge in a cGMP environment is required.Ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage time well.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Attention to detail.Ability to follow written and verbal directions.Motivated and works well independently and with a team.Additional Skills & QualificationsFamiliarity with calipers, bagging, visual quality inspection, and line inspection.Proficiency in using FT-IR, pH meter, pycnometer, and viscometer.Work Environment
The role involves working in both a lab and production environment. The Incoming Inspector will work on the 1st Shift from Monday to Friday and some Saturdays, with hours from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, and may occasionally start as early as 4:00 am. Flexibility to work potential 2nd shift roles in the future is appreciated. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
