​Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Cost Accountant who will report to the Cost Accounting Supervisor based in Taneytown, MD. In this role you will support a local accounting/finance structure, working directly within the operations and helping with other factories as needed.

Responsibilities:

Month end reportingPerform month end close for InventoryProject accounting/Percentage of Completion AccountingPercentage of completion reportingProcessing month end journal entriesRun and reconcile BacklogBalance sheet reconciliationsMeetings with PM's on project margins, EAC's, and potential LD'sPerform Standard Cost Roll process annuallyData analysis for cost and manufacturing within the businessBecome and stay current with all company policies, accounting and relevant Corporate policiesOther duties assigned

Requirements:

BS or BA Degree in relevant field and 3+ years of relevant experience.Strong Cost Accounting knowledge and experienceHighly Proficient/Expert in Excel other MS Office products

Preferred Experience / Skills:

Knowledge of GAAPClear and concise communications skillsAbility to challenge the norm and look for better solutions/processes, attention to detailSystems knowledge: Oracle, BPC, SAP will be beneficial. Ability to learn local ERP system- Symix
