Responsible for maintaining material standards and BOM accuracy. Reconcile various inventory accounts to the G/L. Audit cycle counts and monitor material transactions. Prepare monthly reports and journal entries related to COGS, material movement, labor, and overhead. Preparation of the Quarterly Gross Margin Analysis and various internal reporting documents. Assist with the coordination and implementation of the Physical Inventory. Ability to analyze, interpret, and communicate information effectively to all levels of the organization. Key aspects include:
• Recognize and insure Manufacturing processes meet the criteria set forth by Finance
• Support Cost Manager and have the ability to be the spoke-person in his/her absence
• Thorough understanding of Bill of Materials / routings and other supporting documents and their impacts on manufacturing costs
• Assist and participate in the implementation of the new Plating Operation line
• Manage and uphold the integrity of the Cycle Count Program
• Insure inventories are properly valued, including physical inventories and reconciliation of all Supplier Inventory owned by Vicor Corp.
• Participate in month-end close, SOX Program and any additional projects as deemed necessary.
• Manage E&O Reporting and analysis/setting of Reserves
• Conduct semi-annual physical for inventory locations that do not meet cycle count criteria.
• Insure accuracy for material costing, including PPV and Standard setting
• Analyze Manufacturing Variances for reasonableness and address any issues related to “Other COS”
• Responsible for “Subcontract” Accounting in order to control the integrity of Inventory Value and Standard Costing
• Assist in monthly close, cycle counting, standard setting and any other projects as requested by the Cost Manager.
• Conduct WIP audits
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
• Ability to work independently with limited daily supervision.
• 4 plus years’ related cost experience
• Strong analytical and interpersonal communication skills.
• Keen attention to details
• Self-starter with high energy and commitment.
• Ability to interact with different levels of personnel, including senior management.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SAP is required
