Priority Personnel is currently hiring a Cost Accountant for a company located in San Marcos, TX.  This role is crucial for analyzing job costs, identifying cost issues, and ensuring accurate financial tracking on our projects. 

Pay rate: $22-23/hour

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri/8am-5pm

Job Duties:

Identify job cost issues and missed revenue in a timely manner. Analyze and report on job cost data to uncover discrepancies and cost-saving opportunities. Collaborate with project managers, other job cost accountants, TxDOT, and subcontractors to resolve financial discrepancies. Generate and distribute weekly and monthly reports to project supervisors. Correct cost entries as needed to maintain accurate financial records.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting (preferred) or equivalent accounting experience. Strong computer skills, especially proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
