Job Summary:

As a Cost Accountant, you'll analyze financial information and prepare journal entries to record assets, liabilities, profit and loss transactions, or other financial activities for the organization. In this role you will support a local accounting/finance structure, working directly with the operations and helping out with other facilities if needed.

Responsibilities:

Actively participating in assigned accounting and month end closing processes under US-GAAPPerform month-end journal entries for closing, general ledger account analysis and Balance Sheet account reconciliations in BlacklineCollaborate with Site personnel and BSC regarding fixed asset issues and other accounting activities in your area of responsibilityAssist with the resolution of any issues that could impact the timely month-end closing and communicate timely to the Accounting SupervisorFamiliarize and follow all Corporate Accounting Policies in your area of responsibilityAdhere to all the SOX proceduresSales and margin analysisProcessing accrualsReconcile month end bookingsManagement and ownership of standard costing systemAnd any other duties assigned

Required Experience / Skills:

BS or BA Degree in relevant field and 3-5 years relevant experienceExcellent verbal and written communication skills in EnglishAbility to establish and maintain effective work relationships with stakeholdersIntermediate level experience in Excel and other MS Office productsStrong analytical, research and problem-solving skillsKeen on building positive relationshipsAttention to detailFlexibility and ability to drive process improvements as needed

Preferred Experience / Skills:

Systems knowledge: Symix, BPC, SAP will be beneficial
