Description We are on the search for a skilled Cost Accountant to become a part of our team located in KANSAS CITY, Missouri. The industry we operate in is manufacturing and the core of this role revolves around managing cost accounting tasks. Responsibilities: • Accurately and efficiently handle the processing of manufacturing cost accounting. • Oversee and maintain standard cost accounting records with precision. • Regularly monitor and manage the general ledger. • Perform monthly end close tasks and ensure the accuracy of records. • Conduct cost analysis to identify areas of improvement and implement effective solutions. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years experience in a Cost Accountant role or similar financial position. • Proficiency in Manufacturing Cost Accounting. • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Standard Cost Accounting. • Ability to manage and maintain the General Ledger. • Experience with Month End Close processes. • Strong skills in Cost Analysis, including the ability to identify and interpret complex financial data. • Relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar discipline is preferred.
