Scaled Composites is seeking a Cost Accountant to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.

 

Duties and Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

Analyze and report on financial performance, including cost variancesReview and collect data to prepare reports in accordance with the company’s cost accounting system (Deltek Costpoint) in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), government regulations, and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)Prepare and/or review documentation to post journal entries for various accounting transactionsPerform monthly general ledger account reconciliationsAssist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports related to cost accountingEnsure all financial activities comply with government regulations, including FAR and CASCollaborate with appropriate internal departments to ensure accurate allocation of costs and resourcesPrepare annual and monthly budget/forecast preparation by organizational breakdown structureAssemble monthly organizational spending / performance reporting and variance analysisCollaborate with department leadership to monitor financial policies, procedures, and controls for efficacyDrives continued success by finding and communicating opportunities for efficiencies, process improvement, and/or automation of processesSupport the Finance Director/Controller in various financial analysis and reporting tasks 

Required Qualifications:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various departmentsAbility to research, analyze, understand and prepare concise and meaningful information inputs to decision makersBachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related fieldMinimum 5 years’ experience in cost accounting or similar role Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office SuiteIn-depth knowledge of government regulations, including FAR and CAS

Preferred Qualifications:

MBA or equivalent experienceProficient with Deltek Costpoint ERPAerospace industry experienceExperience in a rapid development and prototyping environment
