Job Title: Cost Accountant

Job Description

Responsible for supporting company goals and objectives through the maintenance and improvement of the cost accounting system, general accounting functions, providing data to support business decisions, and other special projects.

ResponsibilitiesPlan, collect, and analyze data to determine costs of business activity.Perform daily/weekly review of job costs and cost journals in the General Ledger (GL) and continually monitor and correct job costs through variance analysis.Maintain fixed assets in the ERP system, Construction in Progress, and account for new additions or disposition of assets and reporting.Support the annual budgeting and planning process and participate in periodic audits as scheduled.Essential SkillsCost accountingGeneral ledgerVariance analysisBudgetingFixed assets accountingAdditional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in AccountingFive+ years in AccountingStrong knowledge of ERP software skills, Great Plains/Microsoft Dynamics and Exact preferredWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office SuiteWork Environment

Fully on-site. The team includes VP, Assistant Accountant, General Accountant, and this role. The environment is at the company headquarters, with the accounting team situated on the top floor, which will be renovated to a more modern look later this year.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
